Here in a sentence...

...is everything that is wrong with our government today.

Government says it cannot find anything to explain the reported incident of sudden, high-speed acceleration

Who the fuck is the government to be explaining anything? Toyota already said it could not be explained by anything other than a willful hoax. And somehow, these days, I believe Toyota before I believe my government.

I like you, am more inclined to believe Toyota than the government. I'm also inclined to trust United Healthcare more than the government. Not because I like trusting companies, but because they have competition breathing down their necks.

Hell, I'll top that. My wife is a government employee. The Social Security Administration admits the trust fund will run out of money before she is eligible for benefits. Her government pension is underfunded. She has a plan that she contributes to that is the government equivalent of a 401(K), and I think that plan is the one most likely to actually have money in it when she retires. I trust the company that manages that plan more than I trust the government. The plan in question is managed by AIG.
